Integrations
You connect your accounting software and your mailbox yourself, from one page. For QuickBooks Online, Xero, Google and Microsoft, that's a sign-in on the provider's own screen and a click on Allow: nobody types a password, a server name or a company ID.
Accounting software
Northdue reads invoices, customers and payments on every run. It never creates, edits or deletes anything in your books.
Sign in with Intuit. Open invoices, customers, payments and invoice PDFs are read on every run, and the PDFs are attached to your emails.
Permission requested: com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting, which is Intuit's only accounting permission. Northdue uses it to read.
Sign in with Xero and choose the organization. Invoices, contacts and payments are read on every run.
Permissions requested: accounting.invoices.read accounting.contacts.read accounting.payments.read, all read-only.
Through Intuit's own Web Connector: download a connector file, open it on the computer with QuickBooks, and paste a password. Open invoices, customers and payments sync every hour.
Access: read-only queries. Invoice PDFs aren't available from Desktop.
Use the file drop. Each account gets a private upload link that needs no sign-in: upload your AR aging report as CSV or Excel whenever you like, and the next run works from it.
If your report's columns aren't recognized, a person matches them once and every later report is read the same way.
Approved emails go out from the mailbox you connect, and replies are read from it. The sender address is set from the mailbox automatically, so nothing ever goes out from an address you don't own.
Sign in with Google. If your Workspace admin restricts third-party apps, they may need to allow Northdue once.
Permissions requested: send email (gmail.send) and read email (gmail.readonly). Northdue can't delete, move or label anything in your mailbox.
Sign in with Microsoft. Depending on your organization's settings, an admin may need to approve the first connection.
Permissions requested: Mail.Send, Mail.Read and User.Read (your address), plus staying signed in. Nothing in your mailbox is changed.
Any mailbox with standard SMTP and IMAP access can be connected with its server details and a password or app password.
Access: set up with our team, and used only to send approved emails and read replies.
New messages are checked automatically; sent mail, drafts, spam and trash never are. Replies from your customers are kept with their account and read by the AI. Mail from other senders that mentions an invoice or payment is kept for our team to match to a customer. Everything else is skipped: it isn't stored or sent to the AI, and only a marker is kept so it isn't checked twice.
Connect a different mailbox at any time. Reminders go out from the new one straight away, and replies to earlier emails are still read from the old one for 30 days, unless you stop it sooner.
Customers pay through the payment link you already use, whether that's QuickBooks Payments, Stripe or your bank's page. Northdue never handles money.
Optional automated calls run through Vapi, only to business customers whose consent you've recorded. Off unless you turn it on.
Disconnect from your Connections page, or revoke access from your Intuit, Xero, Google or Microsoft account settings. Northdue stops using the connection immediately.
